What has humanity done?
This creature is the result of humanities desperate attempt to survive any way possible
How this relates to the theme is after years of the harsh conditions of the environment of a nuclear winter people needed to develop ways of surviveing, so the government sent scientists to figure a way to survive in the wasteland testing combining human DNA with a reptile for its ability to adapt quickly to its environment. But the experiment went wrong creating a creature that could rapidly reproduce and immense strength. It quickly broke out of the lab and escaped into the frozen tundra.
