A multinational terrorist movement had one of five nuclear missiles launched into an experimental reactor that would have been able to provide clean energy into the forseeable future for at least five continents, thus ending the organization's chokehold on the power supply. However, due to the clean source's properties, it created a strange form of nuclear radiation that spread at alarming rates. Knowing that the whole continent would be in jeopardy if the new variant of energy was allowed to disperse more than it had upon intial impact, the governments of the UN had the initial point sealed under an anti-radiation bubble. What no one thought to do was search for surivors. There was no way, as far as the rest of the world was concerned, that ANYONE could have lived through all the sheer heat and radiation. But they did.
This is one of few survivors of the world's greatest nuclear catastrophes yet, and the lone caretaker of twelve children that also managed to live through it. She's usually open to them, but she keeps a few things to herself. No one really understands why her eyes are mismatched
in such strange colors, or why she doesn't tell them her REAL name. So, they call her M. As some of the younger ones say, "She's M. Simply M".
