Pumpkin boy

Jacob don't usually dress up for halloween. When his parents asks why he always answers "It's a waste of time".
The evening the day before halloween Jacob goes out into the garden to water the pumpkins. As he watch the water slowly sink into the ground he suddenly starts to feel dizzy and collapse.
He wakes up the next day with dirty and wet clothes. He tries to open the back door but it's locked. He walks around the house to the front door, locked. He press the doorbell a few times... No one opens.
He walks out on the street that is full of children in halloween costumes and their parents.
One little blonde girl dressed as a witch point at him and says "Dad, look at his costume!"
Jacob didn't remember putting on a costume. What did she mean?

Everyone thought it was just a crazy costume...
