Halloween is almost here--another year that the pumpkin goes unappreciated...or so it thought!
Little Peril decided that this year, the pumpkin would get some credit. Every part of a pumpkin! An entire pumpkin patch!
So she got a needle, cloth, and buttons and set to work (with adult supervision of course. Safety first!) at creating her very own pumpkin patch costume.
First she made the pumpkin top--of course, the pumpkin would smile since it was finally going to be appreciated. Next came the dark green grass where the pumpkin would sit; brown, nutrient-rich soil where it would grow and where its roots would find a home; and finally the water that would provide the neccessary ingredients for photosythesizing!
But she couldn't forget her stone boots. Under the water, there was bedrock. This bedrock was to be represented by her shoes--no part of the patch could be left out!
Oh, yes, the pumpkin would be brought back this Halloween. It would get the appreciation it deserves.
Peril would make sure of it with her Pumpkin Patch costume.
