The Winter Radiation Victim

Description from original post (created 2015-12-27 15:38):

It's a normal day in your shelter. Everyone is attending to their job. Rations are going about fine. It's a tad bit chilly, but that's what happens when you're living in the middle of a nuclear winter.
You were just getting ready to head to work as your shelter leader came over the intercom "it's time for the monthly safety video. all able-bodied men and women to the cafeteria please."
You grumble, but knowing that missing this could mean a dock in meal rations, and missing too many videos could eventually lead to you being kicked out of this shelter.
You sit down in one of the last remaining seats in the cafeteria.
You look up as you watch a terrible 50s, cold-war-meets-modern-times, commercial about safety. It's the same of stuff, except there is something new added this time.

"We all know that stereotypical radiation look. Glowing green ooze, extra limbs and all that wonderful stuff, but what happens during a winter nuclear war?
Well thanks to a new element used in this war, brimcoldium, we don't see that at all. Brimcoldium causes a reaction in a human body that lasts from one hour to three years, give or take the amount of exposure and victims current health. Brimcoldium causes the body to be converted into ice, from the outside in, hence giving our victim pictured here that icy look on some of her body parts. Eventually all the cells in the human body will be 100% replaced with ice, giving no chance for possible revival at all. However, while covered in the now-forming ice, they are still a functional human until they are indeed all ice.
There is no known cure to Brimcoldium radiation, besides avoiding it at all costs. All surviving are advised to stay away from Brimcoldium victims.
If you think you or someone you know has come in contact with Brimcoldium, please contact your shelter leader today."

When the safety movie was over you reach up to move the hair out of your face when you feel a cold patch on your head. It has begun.

Note: Brimcoldium is just "brr im cold" added with "ium" to make it sound like a real element. There is no such thing as Brimcoldium, and probably will never be.

So if you don't know, the skin is suppose to be the example girl given in the video you "watched" of someone who has Brimcoldium radiation, thanks to the nuclear winter.

So I guess if you like the skin give it a diamond? Idk I'm not the boss of you.
