Who is Vincent Van Gore?
Vincent Van Gore is one of the bosses in Luigi's Manion; 2. Van Gore is portrayed as an artist who carried on his hobby of painting into the afterlife. He has baby blue-ish skin (I guess you could call it skin) along with other features such as scruffy white facial hair, glowing green eyes, a red berret, a red & yellow striped shirt with a green jacket overlapping.
How Did I Re-Create Him?
I tried to pay close attention to detail. In the picture below, you can see his berret is slightly tilted to his left. If you look closely, you might see that I modified the pixels around his eyes to give the effect of glowing. Gotta also add that nose o3o. Since Minecraft's player model can't be shaped, I gave the shading on the legs a rounded effect. A few other things I did was extending the shirt/jacket, giving himg fingers & stuff, and hat effect to give it more of a 3D effect. I did a different shading on this then most of my skins, which I like.
How Does This Apply to the Contest of Crazy Halloween Costumes?
When I thought of creative ways to make a Halloween skin, my initial reaction was to make more of a picture on the skin than a person. I searched up old Halloween lore to try and re-make, but nothing new. I don't know how, but the idea hit me, and hit me well. The nice thing is that since Van Gore is a ghost, it can apply to the "Halloween" theme, along with originality of something different. It can also be used as a halloween costume, spooking any Luigis that intrude ;3
