You are very sleepy. Your eyes can barely open a crack before they want to close again, but this chill on your face forces you to wake up.
"Hey, how's it going there? Let's get you somewhere warm."
You look up and see a masked figure. Their voice is barely audible through the mask. They pick you up and start carrying you off.
These Wastelanders get by on what they can on the perma-permafrost. The population of the Earth has dropped dramatically after the 3rd great war, so human contact is always welcome to them - that is, if their cntact is still human. Without proper protection, people have become beasts. So the humans still human have to do what they can to survive.
