Zombie Witch

There was once a girl named Ellen. Ellen wanted to have only the very best Halloween costumes; she won her town's admiration every year! But as she got older, her original ideas began to putter out. She had done every trick in the book; vampires, turkeys, ducks, chickens, turduckens, you named it, she had worn it for some kind of event. She sat in her room the night before Halloween and cried; she would be so embarrassed if she didn't try!

      She opened her closet and took out the trunk she kept of old costumes.

"Maybe, just maybe, there's something I can use!" Ellen was hopeful, tearing through heaps of cloth; until she found nothing useful at the bottom. She turned to see what she had pulled out.

      There was an old witch costume she had made the year before, and a bit of green face paint had fallen to the floor. She smiled and went back into her closet again; finding some old elf ears and her glowing pumpkin basket.

Ellen had found her costume at last, a witch born from the dead! She put on her makeup and her costume the day after, so pleased with herself for finding what she did.
