The Fretan Mages are mostly women, as the females are more in-touch with magic than the male Freta. This is all the more reason to not trifle with them, as they are very skilled in all forms of aquamancy. They are easily discerned from the rest of the Fretan army by the fact that they wear one branch of coral on each side of their hair, and often have their hair in a large bun in the back.
