The old and wild, wild West of the early American civilization was a rough place--it was fit for no one. It was dangerous and uncharted land! 'No man's land', they called it (which was ironic, as it was sometimes called the same thing in World War II). No one could handle it, they thought.
No one but our old cowboy, Johnny West!
Johnny West is the name of an action figure that was produced from 1965 to 1976 by Louis Marx. He was based off of the cowboys that roamed early America--the Old West. This is related to the contest because of the dates of when it was produced, as well as the time period that the toy was popular.
This figure was part of the company's Best of the West series!
There was also one made in Canada! He wore green.
