Having taken his father's place as a Maester of Yevon and leader of the Guado people Seymour takes his duties rather seriously, leading the Guado to become well known and bringing pride in the Guados once more. But there is something darker perhaps, his actions as a Maester are rather unbecoming as he easily states and does things no Maester known before would ever consider.
After the return of Seymour Guado at the age of 18 Seymour began to plot his rise toward power in order to achieve his goals. His father noticed this at first, realizing his teachings of Yevon did not truly reach his son's mind, and sensing the formidable evil growing within his child he recorded a message, all the while accepting the knowledge that eventually he would be murdered by his own son. An event that could not have been avoided, resulting in Seymour taking his father's place as a Maester of Yevon, and the new leader of his father's race the Guado. Effectively giving him both the position, and amount of followers he would require to achieve his goal of killing everyone in Spira.
Hated by both Human and Guado alike he and his mother were taken to Baaj
temple, to live in exile. His mother had the idea that in order to be
accepted he should slay sin using the final aeon. He however cared
little for the acceptance of the people if it meant that he would lose
his mother. His mother became the final aeon, but Seymour simply mourned
his mother's loss in his exile, and remained alone at Baaj temple for
years after resulting in his views of nihilism and eventually desire to "save" Spira by killing everyone, thus freeing them from the cycle of death and grief caused by Sin. He remained in exile until his 18th birthday, during which he was allowed to return to his original home and leave the now ruined temple he was forced to live at nearly all alone.
