I decided to make a female skin with two rare conditions, one being Heterochromia and the other being Vitiligo. As someone who has a skin condition (eczema) I understand that having a skin condition can be hard for some people to live with. It can limit what products you can use, teasing, and similar things and hurts. It can drive people to the thought of suicide and harm, as it can degrade your self confidence. For me, my eczema used to appear on my face but has moved to hidden parts, but I know a classmate used to tease me for it. One day, I saw my eczema in the mirror, and realized there was nothing wrong with me at all, I looked somewhat nice. I felt confidence I had never had.
Anyways, This skin was inspired by a picture of a girl I found who had both Heterochromia and Vitiligo. I was also inspired by Winnie Harlow’s confidence. I think people need to be more aware of what they say about people’s conditions. Whether it be a skin condition, eye condition, an amputee, or anyone who stands out, I think people need to realize that not everyone is the same, and that they are just as important as everyone else.
To anyone who has anything different about them or a rarity, you ARE beautiful.
