Mayumi kimono Minecraft Skin

by Cherubi

Description from original post (created 2018-12-23 05:31):

This is a houmongi kimono I made for november/autumn. The color combination I've used is called "mayumi", it is "Himalayan spindle" in japanese and it is apparenly good for autumn when the leaves turn yellow and red (https://wafuku.wordpress.com/2011/05/15/japanese-colour-names-seasonal-combinations/). The pattern tries to represent a Himalayan spindle tree and leaves. The obi is tied in an otaiko musubi which is proper for a formal kimono. I've put some small rectangular images on the otaiko part. The obijime and obiage bring about the yellow in mayumi.

The hair is done in the traditional shimada hairstyle and she has some kanzashi in her hair. The collar is folded with the left side overlapping the right (as it should) and the back of the collar is pulled down to reveal the nape of the neck. And going with the formal style of the kimono she's wearing zori (finer sandals) and tabi (socks).

Kimonos are a hobby of mine and I hope I've gotten most of the details right! ^___^
