After 5 years the corruption started to spread on hanks body, It was slightly noticeable at first, but after a while it sped up, soon it was engulfing his body and would soon be under his control, The Corruption had a state at which it would allow the control of its powers, otherwise it would spread and engulf the person outright.

Hank had found a way to reverse it but after the materials run thin it would start to engulf him faster than before

He had to live with the fact he would once become part of the corruptions mind...

Unless he could destroy it
