Atomic Robotic Miner A.R.M.
A.R.M. Project File #00.01
The A.R.M. Project was created during the early days of o The Global Crisiso by Tec.CORP. Tec.CORP was commissioned by The Government to build the first A.R.M. Prototypes, and thereafter were hired on as a special consultant for the D.N.R. (department of natural resources). The A.R.M. Project's aim was to create stable, high functioning automatons capable of operating The Deep Mines for extended, unsupervised periods of time. Before The Government had commissioned Tec.CORP, human miners had been sent into The Deep Mines, in order to collect data on the deposits and veins there. As the project continued, workers grew restless due to heat-related deaths in the tunnels, and so The Government slowed work in The Deep Mines for several years. The Global Crisis urged the project back into necessity, and so Project A.R.M. Was formed to do away with any need for human miners . . .

The Global Crisis, as the name suggests, was a resource and energy crisis that wiped out approximately 90% of human life, and more than 80% of animal life. The automatons known as A.R.M. run on two nuclear power cells, which have allowed them to function so long after the Global Extinction Event. What's more, The Mother Cell, an above-ground structure, combines nuclear and thermal technology that periodically 'charges' the cells of her A.R.M. children. All of the A.R.M. use fairly advanced A.I. to navigate and drill in the tunnels of the Deep Mine, where they continue to collect resources for their long-dead human overlords.
