Phoo, this one took a while. Everything done by hand, pixel by pixel. Not much else I can say really, I'm quite pleased with how it turned out. Especially the face.Here's some random Beauty and the Beast trivia:
- The first rendition of Beauty and the Beast was published in 1740 by Gabrielle-Suzanne Barbot de Villeneuve in La jeune amĂŠricaine, et les contes marins.
- There was an operatic version written and composed in 1771.
- Disney's version of Beauty and the Beast (1991) won them a science award for the new technology they used to make the film.
- There were a total of 1,295 painted backgrounds and approx. 120,000 drawings made for Disney's Beauty and the Beast.
- My local town once put on a show of Beauty and the Beast, using midi files as backing tracks and cardboard sets. My ears and eyes still hurt.
- In Disney's Beauty and the Beast, 25 minutes of the film is taken up with songs and only 5 minutes of the film had no music at all.
- If you don't like Beauty and the Beast; you are either blind or deaf.
- Nobody knows what the Beast's real name is. Disney animators have called his human form "Adam", while "Vincent" has also been mentioned.
