Tom Servo

For those of you who love Mystery Science Theater 3000, I present to you, Tom Servo!

Tom Servo is a fictional character who was created for the show "Mystery Science Theater 3000." In this show, a man named Joel is launched into space by two crazed mad scientists. Joel is forced to watch some of the worst movies ever created as the two scientists launch them to his vessel. To keep himself from going crazy, Joel creates two friendly, wise-cracking robots to be by his side as the movies are played. At this point, Tom Servo and Crow were created.

Tom Servo's head is made from a gumball machine. His body is made from a toy car engine located at the front and center of his body. The barrel shaped object that is his full torso is a "Money Lover Barrel" toy bank. The lower portion of his body is actually an upside down bowl that is supposed to look like a hovercraft. The arms were made out of silver springs. Servo's hands were those of a small ventriloquist dummy.

Some interesting facts about Tom Servo is that his arms aren't actually functional. Funny questions have arisen from this, as Tom often appears in small skits throughout the show holding some kind of object. People often wonder how it managed to get there when his arms don't actually move. Something else that is interesting is that his appearance has changed many times throughout the show. These changed were usually minor, only changed certain colors of his body, or at one point making him entirely silver. His voice actor also changed from time to time. At first his had a squeaky voice, but when voice actors changed, he acquired his deep voice. Something funny about this is after he first acquired the deeper voice, Servo called it his "Mighty Voice."
