Couleur, the goddess of natural wonders, is in charge of rain, light alignments, and the beauty and purity of nature.
A long time ago, the people of Greece were suffering from a long and tremendous drought. They tortured animals and offered them to the gods and goddesses of Olympus at the highest peaks of Greece, where the sun met the mountains. Couleur, however, was appalled by this behavior.
Couleur wanted to put an end to this, and she that in order to do that, she must give them what they wanted, and that was rain. She screamed, "Seek and ye shall find!" and she summoned rain. It rained for 60 days.
Couleur went to sleep every night thinking that she had done a good thing, but when she returned after 60 days, she realized that she had down a terrible thing. Instead of helping the people of Greece by blessing them with rain, she cursed them with a flood. She was disgusted by her own mistake, and vowed to do something about it, to make up her mistake. She pondered on things she could do, night and day, and day and night, for thirty days, until finally, she came up with a solution.
Couleur promised a rainbow after every rain, to show that there was always hope at the end of it all.
