Frozen Horror

You hear the ragged hiss of cold, icy breath. The clank of old metal, crunching against the snow. You look up, and the last thing you see is a pair of flaming red eyes, hot yet cold.

Twisted protector of the elements. Shunned, twisted human. Military experiment. No one is quite sure what a Frozen Horror quite is, but some have managed to compile some facts about it. It makes its home in the frozen wasteland once known as Antarctica. It was first seen five months after the Great War, during a radiation sweep. The few survivors of the sweeping squad were dismissed as insane, driven mad by the cold. A massive figure, with flaming red eyes and a patchwork of raggedy, rusted metal over its icy carapace. Those who have claimed to have survived an encounter with the Frozen Horror claim that they heard its twisted lament, of horror, spite, and sorrow, as if to reflect upon the twisted life it lives, and rage for the world that left it to die.

Woe to the foolish explorer who forgets to cover his tracks in the frozen wastes.
