"now you see me..." or twisted reality contest

WHAT IT IS: This is the "now you see me". A robot-like creature that uses light and mirrors to melt into its surroundings, staying still until prey comes near (prey is mainly humans) then reveals itself as it tears apart the victim and gulping down its flesh. It has a terrible temper and is unnamed but is called the "now you see me" creature by some (in my imagination, it is 100% fake in real life) because it often hisses "now you see me...." before tearing into its victims.
HOW IS IT TWISTED REALITY?
1) it is robot-like, yet how can a robot live and need to eat flesh and operate like a living creature all on its own?
2) It becomes the environment around it, becoming shape-less, matter-less, and invisible without disappearing from existence and remaining in one location
3) it could never truly exist in real life, but it exists in my daydreams where I can actually see it but only because I think it's there, twisting my reality up majorly as sometimes I find myself trying to avoid a figment of my imagination. Or in other words, its not real, just an illusion my eyes have created before me multiple times.
