Welp, this certainly doesn't look like the usual skins I post. This skin first started out as an idea to try and make just a regular girl skin and see what it turned out like, kind of like those being poured into Planet Minecraft which one half of the community seem to love and the other half of the community seem to hate for various reasons. But I didn't want to end up in the middle of a mess of love and hate from both sides, so I did my best to implement a new unique design as well as having the coloring and shading very easy on the eye.
Lets talk a little about the design, coloring and shading of this skin, just because it's something different from what I usually post.
Design
We all know the basic girl skins are getting boring from being pretty much remixes of the same design. So what I did with this one was making a completely unique design, from scratch, without looking at any references at all. The design itself turned out fairly simple though (I'm far from an expert in girly clothing) and is basically just a girl in a turquoise dress and leather boots, but hey, it works. :) To give it just a little extra detail I added the hair band (or whatever they're called), a little flower in her hair as well as the belt with a golden buckle, better than a creeper logo at least!
What I came to think of when making this skin is how much more it actually looks like a real girl compared to the ones always being posted. She looks happy, focused, and not just like some soulless anime girl implemented just to stand there being cute. In my opinion character is important for a skin, and I think I did a decent job with that in this one, and I hope more people would take that into consideration too. If you are going to make the same type of skins over and over again, make them different somehow other than changing a few hairstyles and clothes.
Coloring
As a personal challenge I decided to make the coloring less saturated from what I usually work with, and well, for a first try it wasn't too bad. This skin is basically built with three colors, brown, skin color and turquoise, and by only having a few colors it was easy to give it good consistency. This isn't something unique for only this skin though, it's something I often tend to do.
Shading
When trying out a new design like this decided to keep the shading very simple. This is pretty much what an early version of most of my skins look like, only using a few shades. In this case the three main colors have three shades each, and I completely decided to skip the highlights since they made the skin look too blocky. Other than that it is more or less the simple shading you can find anywhere, but perhaps not in any of my previous skins.
So what did I want with this skin?
- See what a basic girl skin would turn out like if I made it (it was ages since I tried)
- Encourage people to try something new and different
- Have fun with designing a unique girl skin
- Have fun with a new way coloring
- Have fun with new shading techniques
- Prove to people I am not doomed to make highly detailed skins, hehe ;)

Hope you enjoyed it, and as always, feel free to diamond, favorite and subscribe if you enjoy my work. :)
