As the travelers made their way into space in search of other life, they encountered many other worlds, but none of them were inhabited as they had hoped. Where were the civilizations they were looking for? They had spent many years bringing their dream to life, though, and they refused to give up. Many more years passed, and despite their greatest efforts, they still had found nothing. Thousands of light years had been traversed, and still they searched for signs of others. Finally, after nearly a decade, they found what looked like an inhabited planet. When they brought their starship down to the planet's surface, it became clear that they were wrong. Though there were structures that were clearly great works of architecture, they had been long abandoned. They left the ship to see if anyone still lived. As they reached what appeared to be the center of the city they had landed in, a giant circle adorned with many strange symbols. Near the center of the circle, there was what seemed to be a depiction of a starship not unlike their own. Only one other ship had ever left Minecraftia, and as they busied themselves with studying the circle, suddenly one of the crew went into a fit of violent spasms. They were quickly hurried to the ship's medical bay, where suddenly they screamed in an unnatural voice that they were near the end of their search. Then they descended into a mindless rant that was completely indecipherable by the rest of the crew. They left the planet soon after, disheartened by their mostly insignificant findings. They continued on their course through the universe. Years passed. Then, they found them. Their travels had been uneventful since they had left the planet, but suddenly, there was an enormous burst of light. For the briefest moment, the crew who could see outside swore they saw an image of the circle they had found years ago. Suddenly, instead of the vastness of space, they found themselves bathed in a bright light. A circle of beings, appearing to be entirely made out of light and lacking faces, appeared in the ship. They bore black wings, as black as space itself, and from where their eyes would have been, what appeared to be liquid light dripped. In the minds of the entire crew, their voices rang out. They revealed themselves to be known as the Tehii, keepers of souls. They wept for those that bore evil in their hearts and forever watched life from the edges of the universe. They revealed that the abandoned planet they had found so many years ago was once one of countless thriving civilizations that had wiped itself out through hate and greed, one that the crew's own could very well be one of in the future. Knowledge flowed through the minds of the crew, infinite knowledge, and as soon as it had come, the light vanished and the crew found themselves floating in the abyss once more
