This is my entry for pmc's twisted reality contest "The Charming Zombie (Walter)"...Story:
Jacob was an average zombie, slowly chasing people in an attempt to eat their brains. The only way he could possibly catch them was if they happened to get trapped in a dark alleyway or if they thought it was safe to hide away in a room.
Towards the start of the apocalypse he was doing well for himself and able to eat many brains, however the more he ate the less people there were to choose from. As well as this there were also more zombies so the competition between the zombies to stay alive increased.
As the months went on, Jacob started to decay and was desperately in need of brains. During this time some of the zombie infection started to decay as well, and he started gaining small amounts of intelligence back. Eventually his mind developed enough to the point was able to hatch a plan to get some brains.
The plan was to go to an expensive clothing store and grab some nice clothes so that the humans stopped running away from him and change his name to Walter to match his new appearance.
Walter (formerly known as Jacob) was successful in his attempts and to this day he still walks the wasteland that is Earth.
