Why is my skin's head white?

If I upload it to nova skin, look what it shows:
Please help, it was fine until I shaded it with paint.net and added a hat, I even removed the hat, but it still didn't work.
I think I know why, I think because I didn't add a transparent background to the skin, but I don't know how? At first, at the layers tab, there is a "background" layer, if I disable that it is transperent, but when I put the skin there, the transparency goes away, and it doesn't work, i dont even have a "background". Later to disable, can someone at least make the skin for me fixed?
