A solution for skins that don't update according to the new skin servers.

About a month or two ago, I noticed that skins can't seem to update at all after changing a skin. This has been bugging me for a long while, as friends of can't see my updated skins on websites unless we gone in-game to see it or if I post a screenshot.

Examples of skins that can't get updated such as: The system used in minotar.net, The loading of skins when typing a username in skin viewers. and lastly the old URL for Minecraft skins : http://s3.amazonaws.com/MinecraftSkins/Username.png replacing "username" with a player's username (Though the outcome link will show a different, longer one, the link should not be used, use the one provided).

Still as of today, my skin isn't being updated on any site that loads skins such as minecraft skin search: http://i.imgur.com/ngNiHTx.png

Now the only thing needed is a fix for this problem. Now I found out the link for the new skin servers.

One day I was playing on a multiplayer server. My minecraft client seemed to have not responded for a bit and continued running, after a while, it suffered a crash for a reason that was forgotten, But when the launcher opened, I clicked on the game output and saw some unusual errors not shown in any in-game chat, It showed some links to skins of some sorts, So I went ahead a looked it up, seeing that they are the updated skins.

Now the link I found is http://skins.minecraft.net/MinecraftSkins/Username.png replacing "username" with a player's username.

This shows ALL the new and updated skins users have uploaded to minecraft.net after this problem has shown up (This includes the new 1.8 skins and old skins, I am not fully sure if this includes Alex skins). I have seen Mojang informing players about changing the skin servers, but have not informed us about the link to the newer skins. As of this, new accounts have been shown as "steve" outside of minecraft even if they actually DO have a skin in-game.

The complete solution is for programers, developers, etc.. to use this new link for the loading of skins to fix this problem that most players seem to have when seeing their skins online on webpages and such.

Please help spread the word about this, I am unsure if anyone else has known about this. Thank you.
