This is Damian, who was just a regular Eastern Mud Salamander, until his nation in "The Bog", as they called it, was attacked by the evil snake known as Slykne and almost the whole population was wiped out, which is why Eastern Mud Salamanders are on the endangered species list today. Damian had to rise up and be the hero, but he did it interestingly. He made Slykne retreat by robbing him blind. Literally. He stole his eyes. This great deed of forcing Slykne out of The Bog made every salamander respect, and fear, him, so they made a unanimous decision to make Damian their Thief Lord. They granted him the Great Jeweled Disguise of Eternal Vision, with eyepieces of pure sapphire, which he wears as a symbol of power wherever he goes. Slykne has not been seen ever since.For Palette Battle League Week 1.
