The Diamivore is a mythological creature in Minecraft commonly depicted as frightening and mischievous with a specific culinary interest in Diamonds. The creature is commonly known to make its home in the diamond rich caves underground. The myth started with claims that the creature was responsible for making it very difficult to find diamonds. It was suspected that the creature was gobbling up all the diamonds and leaving everyone with huge amounts of unwanted redstone. No evidence of the creature have ever been documented, but that doesn’t stop the Minecraft community from commonly saying the phrase “the Diamivore must have eaten all of the diamonds” anytime diamonds become scarce.

I have spent days mining for the riches below, yet still no signs of any shinny blue rock to show.
I keep telling myself that the diamonds must be just a few blocks to go, but all the searching in here is leaving me nothing to show.
Something must lurk in the deep dark underground, something is robbing me of the things that I should have already found.
A mischievous creature must be the thing to blame, my worst fear must be living down here and making it's claim.
And what a hungry creature at that, all these missing diamonds are surely making it fat.
Now I leave these empty mines with a frown on my face, this creature must be living down here and calling it its place.
