Iris the underground shade elf is the princess of her tribe, For countless generations these elves have hidden underground out of fear of the unknown. brought up to believe death and destruction awaits them if they ever break the surface, Their skin is dark and reflective. Their eyes a bronze orange color and able to see in pitch black like it is nothing. There way of living seems harsh to many, their bodies evovled and adapted over years and generations to survive on nothing for days and weeks if needed. Iris is the adventurous type and has grown up her whole life curious of the world above her. She plans on one day going on a long adventure to explore the world she lives in and better understand it. to find answers to all her questions. She personally hates the dark and everything about it. Her whole life all her family and tribesmen have told her to embrace the dark, for the darkness is safe, its a place to hide and survive. Where she would rather be in the light and be seen and live, not hide. The community is large and sprials down into the earths core in levels like a bee hive would. they use the ancient roots from trees as ladders to climb their way up and down the many levels of their fortress underground.The elves are quiet and rarely speak unless its absolutely needed. They listen and thats how they hunt various creatures that crawl through the earths dirt. At young ages they are taught to hunt and fend for themselves to help provide for the tribe. They are agile and fast. silent and deadly. Unseen and unknown. But maybe one day Iris will change soem of that and break through the surface and show us all whatshes about!. So be wary when mining on your next trip... you wouldnt want to run into the shade elves all by yourself in the dark... it may just be your last adventure.
