Hiya Miners!
Have you ever wanted to create your own Minecraft skin? Or maybe try and impress your friends? Well, I have an easy method that requires NO programs, NO downloads, NO registry required, and is 100% FREE. Ready to make your own skin? Read on!
Step 1: Go to this website. It will take you to a website called the Minecraft Skindex (this website is BETA for the time being.)
Step 2: Click on the Editor button. It is located on the navigation bar near the very top of the website.
Step 3: Create your own skin. Now, it's up to you. What do you want your skin to look like? Pick your own colors, designs, and more.
Step 4: You have 2 options. The first option is the "Download to Computer" choice. This downloads a .png file to your computer, so you have a copy on your computer if you change your skin and want the old one back, or for any other reason. The second option is the "Login to Upload" choice. You will have to create a free account on the website to be able to share the skin you created with other people, or just for yourself. If you wish to upload your skin to the website, click the "Login to Upload" button which can be found in the bottom right corner, and you're done. If you choose that option and don't want to use your skin right now, this is the time to stop reading. If you wish to use your skin right away, click the read on.
Step 4: Once you have a .png file of your skin, go to minecraft.net and login using your Minecraft username/email and password.
Step 5: Once your logged in with your Minecraft account, click the profile button which can be found near the middle at the top of the webpage.
Step 6: When you click on the profile button, it should take you to another page with lots of sections. The section we are going to need is the "Change how you look in Minecraft" section. Make sure you have selected the "My skin fits on the classic "Steve" player model." option as it is important for the next step.
Step 7: Right under the 2 player model options, you should see a button that says "Choose file". Click that button and choose the .png skin file that you made.
Step 8: Right under the "Choose file" button you should see a button labeled "Upload". Click on that button. Once that is done... see Step 9.
Step 9: You're done! Enjoy your new custom skin!
