My Skin for the Nuclear Winter Skin Contest ^.^
I looked behind me, the figure was still stood there, walking closer and closer as I turned around. My heart was racing, as I came closer to the creature. If I had to run, I couldn't run fast, the snow would slow me down. So, I kept my distance, as I got closer I could hear it's loud breathing, you could tell, it was afraid. The creature stood still for a moment, before it turned around. The sight was shocking. A human. She stood tall, her eyes as dark as night. She seemed shocked too, the soft glow of the sun made her bright blue skin glimmer, almost like Edward Cullen in that vampire movie. It had been so long since I watched that movie, almost everything froze over on that day, the day of the nuclear bombs. My body shuddered, not at the freezing cold temperatures, but at the thought of that horrid day. I quickly shook off the thought and began to move closer to the woman.
Her clothes were shredded, frost covering the ends of the torn clothes, the boots she was wearing were worn and old. The softness of her gaze almost comforted me, it had been a while since I saw a human -well, not a dead one at least- her lips quivered as she opened her mouth before saying:
"Hello"
I couldn't even talk, it was too daunting, I stuttered and mumbled trying to get my words out, and finally it happened.
"Hi"
She came closer to me, before pulling me into an embrace, I hugged her back, my eyes swelling with tears as I thought of the last time I even had contact with a human. Even though we had just met, I knew I could trust her, after all, she could be the last human on Earth, apart from me.
Well, that was my story ksorrybye
I won't be on for a couple days since I'll be in Norway, but I might use up my 4G for you guys <3
