Morn, demolition expert/sniper for the Slugnati renegades, wasn't always on their side.
For a good few years, Morn worked as a spy for the Slugnati; Stealing documents, making copies of battle plans to send to her superiors, tracking the whereabouts of the Renegades leader, attempting assasination upon key commanders in the operation, among other things. That all changed one fateful day, when she was caught in the act. The punishment was to be execution, but, there was an intervention from the croud. Many yelling "We're no better than the slugs if we do this" "This is a crime against all of us", tensions tightening in the crowd. Morn found this all very strange. There was never any controversy over executions among the Slugnati. It was yet another error that had to be corrected, nothing more. So, when a vote was called, and it was decided she would not be executed, but taken prisoner.
Day passed. Weeks. Months. Morn had been allowed to perform mundane tasks, clean facilities, wash dishes, dispose of garbage, all done accompanied by guards, though. But this began something. Bearly a shrivel, a fraction of it existing, but it was still there. Trust. Over the course of many long, long hours, this trust began to build, more and more. Years may have passed. No communication with the Slugnati, being taught what crimes they had comitted, what heinous acts have tooken place under the noses of the citizens of the Slugnati, and the Renagades, crimes acted out by both factions. This changed Morn. She no longer saw the Renegades as monsters or rebels, but as people just wanting to be free, to live the way they want, who have made the same mistakes as the Slugnati. After what seemed like an eternity, this trust grew, and grew, until she was even allowed to fight on the front lines, and much more.
If it weren't for that fateful day, many of the people she considers friends, maybe even family might be dead. Because of her.
but that day changed everything.
