I don't want to start any wars in the comments! These are just MY feelings, you don't need to agree. I understand that many people will strongly disagree with this, you can keep it to yourself and continue doing what you want to be doing instead of raging through the internet. Okay? Thanks! =3

When somebody dies, everyone sits there in sad clothes and mourns their death, thinking what a tragedy it all is.

Apparently that's the only way to go about it, respecting the dead and whatnot. Let's all be really sad about this person, so that whenever we think about them for the rest of our lives we'll be sad. And then when we die, everyone will be sad about us. It's an endless cycle of grief and hey guess what, nobody lives forever. We spend our lives mourning what's inevitable anyways.

PLEASE don't get me wrong. I don't think we should be happy about the end of a life, not at all! I just don't think that the only way to respond should be to let sadness take over our own lives.

I think we need a chance to feel grief, and to know they'll never be back, and to miss them. But then we need to think about what we'll miss about them.

When you want to move on, the best way to do it is to remember the best parts of them, the way they smiled, the jokes they told, any hilarious mistake they made. It's not bad to laugh about the dead. In a way, it's helping you move on by giving you happy thoughts to guide your way.

Instead of mourning someone's death forever, celebrate their life! Love them for being a person, and wish them luck on the other side (whatever you believe will happen to them) Just be glad you knew them, and enjoy the way they've given you new experiences to help shape your life into who YOU are, and who you will always be, forever and ever.

Someone who lives, and someone who lived.
