Bio:

Davy Jones is demon of the deep, there are no questions about that, especially after all of his devious actions. He is renowned for pressing sailors into his undead crew, torturing sailors, sinking vessels, and commanding a beast that legend names the Kraken. His temper is unmatched when released, although he can be rather cool under most conditions. His greatest blunder was falling in love and starting his downward spiral out of his humanity.

You see, Jones wasn't always a heartless brute who tortured the seas, no not at all. He was a sweet man who had been vexed by what he thought would be his true love; a sea goddess named Calypso. She agreed to be with him forever if he took those who died at sea to rest in the afterlife for 10 years. After the time was up, Jones returned to an empty shoreline. Enraged and heart-broken, Jones couldn't bear the pain, so he carved his heart from his chest and hid it from the world. He then cursed his love to a human-form and became terror of the seas.

Jones still suffered from his guilt, agony, and overall betrayal despite his "traitorous vessel" being carved from his chest. He went on to become an ill-tempered captain who struck deals with those at sea in exchange for terms of service aboard the Dutchman. All went just as Jones had planned until he made a deal with a crafty Jack Sparrow. In exchange for reviving the Black Pearl, Jack swore his servitude, but had no plans of ever repaying Jones. When time ran out and Jones came looking for Jack, a war would be waged against all piracy.
